This tab configures some common elements of your service application explained in the table given below:
Give your application a unique name. Then in the web.config for your services application, set the property Aptify.Services.General.ApplicationName to this value. This is how you tell the services application what configuration it should execute with. When services starts up, Aptify will write many messages out to the Event Viewer that describes the configuration it is running with and any problems encountered.
For example, if you look at your web.config for Aptify Web's service layer, you will see it runs with the configuration for the Service Application record 'HTML5 Web'.
|Anonymous Person||This dictates the person ID that is set on the Authenticated Context for all anonymous service requests. If your application will always require authentication before executing service requests this value should be -1.|
|Restrict Views||Checking this box enforces the metadata constraints defined by Service Application Entities and Service Application Views in order to restrict what views are allowed to be called. Most applications should check this box and go through the additional metadata setup necessary to allow the views your application needs. If your application allows users to dynamically define views at run time additional considerations will be needed to allow these new views to be executed without an application restart.|
